This is not the first time, that exclusive Gerard Butler content have been made available on xbox live. For example, exclusive Gamer content was previously made available on xbox 360.

In addition to this news:

xbox live have announced there will be opportunities for the public to play against list of named celebrity gamers, on xbox live this winter.

XBOX live are well known for having celebrity gamers.

Most celebrity gamers play on xbox 360 anonymously. However Xbox Live have official dates where the public are given the opportunity to play live against named celebrity gamers.

We have acquired two lists:

(1) A list of recent official celebrity gamers on xbox live
(2) A list of celebrity gamer tags [celebrity online i.ds]

We are still waiting for a list of upcoming celebrity gamers for this winter 2009. We are hoping Gerard Butler will be on this celebrity list, as he is extremely popular with the online gaming community following his leading role in the movie Gamer.

In previous interviews, Gerard Butler acknowledged Halo 3 as being very relevant to the movie Gamer. Therefore, if he was to officially play live with his fans on xbox 360, one would expect him to challenge the community on a first person shooting game such as Halo 3, Halo ODST or even Call of duty ModernWarfare 2.
