Gerard Butler’s 300 Spartan Bear goes under the hammer for a whopping £771.98 GBP

Gerard Butler appeared on BBC1’s Children in Need last week to show his support for the long running charity.

The Children in Need telethon attracted just under 12 million viewers in the UK on Friday 20th November.

Gerard Butler made an appeal on behalf of the charity. We have included a video of this footage at the bottom of this article.

Gerard Butler fans were given the rare opportunity to win at auction, a one-off ‘Build a Bear workshop bear’ dressed up as Gerard Butler as King Leonidas in the film 300. The bear was featured on the Friday night with Jonathan Ross Show.

The bear came with unique voice box which growls the epic line ‘This is Sparta!’. The bear also came with a Gerard Butler Autograph.

The Children Need charity auction for this Gerard Butler memorabilia ended a few moments ago on Ebay and fetched for an impressive £771.98 GBP. The auction attracted 1764 page views, 45 competitive bids from 20 active bidders.

The 300 Gerard Butler, has had a positive influence on direct phone donations from the public.

Children in Need have so far, raised £20,309,747 (value raised to date on 27th November 2009).

Gerard Butler has shown support for various charities in the past, including victions of the L’Aquilla earthquake.
