There is media speculation that Gerard Butler might be considering the role of the “Machine Gun Preacher” in a movie about the life of Samuel Childers.
Gerard Butler recently visited Samuel Childers at his church in Central City. For those people who are not familiar with Samuel Childers, he is a minister and a soldier with a rich life story to share with the world. Samuel Childers wrote a book entitled “Another Man’s War: The True Story of One Man’s Battle to Save Children in the Sudan,”. The book has been turned into a screenplay by Jason Keller, and the story will be made into a movie.
In an interview, Samuel Childers said “Jason Keller is one of the best screenwriters in the world…God didn’t give me just one of the best, but all of the people involved with the movie are in the top 10.”
Marc Forster, the director of 007 “Quantum of Solace” may also be working on this project, as he recently visited Somerset County to learn more about Samuel Childers’ life.
